It is So Terribly Hot Here it's like science fiction. When you walk across
asphalt you can't believe the oven effect. When you finally get back
indoors, you have to go through a long cooling cycle before you decide you
are going to live.
The business of getting mom relocated is progressing despite climatological obstacles. 107 degrees. Jeez.

I can sympathize. I have spent summers in Phoenix where when you open the front door you breathe in the entire oven and your lungs feel like they seer. I remember ten days straight once of over 115 every day. Today it will be over 100 degrees here. I need to remember this in the middle of winter. Good luck with the move.
how many times a year do you go there? someone would have to die for me to take a trip to a hot place like that in summer!
Seven times last year. Before she got so old I used to refuse to visit between April and October. It's almost over, she'll be going back to Florida. Not that there will be much pleasure in visiting there instead of Tucson. But at least there's water.
